Weeks:

Knights, damsels and dragons

Going back in time, our young artists will learn about Medieval Art by examining fairy tales, history, illuminated manuscripts, heraldry and songs.

Projects will include:

• Heraldic shields – exploring design and shape
• A crown of their own design using a variety of embellishment techniques,
• Dragons in clay – learning about clay
• Castles in card
• Printing
• A decorated folder for all their work

There will be an exhibition each Thursday at 3.50pm

Tutor: Louise Diggle

Louise Diggle is a practising artist with over ten years art teaching experience. She has taught art in prep and secondary schools in the London area and enjoys passing on the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject. She also works as a freelance educator for English Heritage.
