Working with perspective

Students will explore perspective by constructing an intriguing 3-dimensional work of art.

This unusual 'picture' will consist of different levels with characters sliding in and out as required and will be viewed through a 'spy hole'. The theme of this 'tunnel' painting can be whatever captures the student's imagination.

We will look at the work of artists such as Canaletto and Meindert Hobbema who used perspective to create space in their paintings.

Techniques covered will include:

• Construction
• Illustration
• Working with watercolour

There will be an exhibition each Thursday at 3.50pm.

Tutor: Noel Paine

Noel Paine is a painter living and working in East London. Urban themes dominate his work and he has exhibited widely. As well as being an artist, Noel is an experienced teacher who enjoys encouraging creative talent.
