Weeks:

Discover the joy of being creative with clay by making decorative and functional ceramic works.

• A comprehensive introduction to the basic pottery techniques: coiling, slab work, modelling and throwing on the wheel.
• Have fun decorating with texture, incision and coloured slips.
• Individual attention in a small group (maximum 12) from an inspirational teacher.

All work will be glazed and fired for a durable finish. Due to the drying, firing and glazing times involved, the work will need to be collected at a later date.

An exhibition of work at 3.50pm on Thursday.

Tutor: Giolla Zordan

Giolla graduated from Central St Martins in 1998. She specializes in making slipcast porcelain vessels that are both functional and decorative. Her ceramics have featured in interior design magazines and have been selected for exhibition in various galleries. She shares her time between teaching and working in her studio.
