Take your sewing skills to the next level in this hands-on, four-day course designed for those who have mastered the basics of hand sewing. Whether you’re new to machine sewing or looking to refine your skills, this course will give you the confidence to sew, design, and create your own garment!

📏 Sewing in a straight line & zig-zag stitching – Master control and precision
👗 Using commercial patterns – Learn how garments come to life
✂ Pinning, cutting & assembling – Construct your own project
🧶 Fabric knowledge – Learn how to choose and cut the right materials
🧥 Make a simple garment (e.g., a skirt) – Bring your design to life!
Each student will have their own sewing machine and a spacious work area to practice and create comfortably.

Tutor: Nassera Dahmani
Nassera Dahmani – Holds a Master of Design (MDes) with Business Studies from the University of Brighton. She has worked in the fashion industry with leading brands such as Caroline Charles, Coast, and Ted Baker, specialising as a Garment Technologist and Accessories Designer.
Nassera covers the entire design process, from research and development through to final delivery, with a strong focus on experimentation and self-evaluation.
Since January 2023, she has been teaching home-educated young people, offering lessons in French alongside creative workshops in sewing, pattern cutting, and art.
